What is the cost to register on this site?

Registration is free, and we offer different plans for sellers to suit your volume and needs. Our SaleRing Membership is our best value. Visit the pricing page for more information.

What if I forgot my username and/or password?

Click “Login” at the top right of screen and find and click the “Forgot password?” link. Enter the email address you used to create your account and hit “Submit”. Both your username and password will be emailed to you.

Can I change my username/password/contact information?

To change either your password or your contact information, first log in then click “Account”. From the list of choices on the left side, click “Account Profile”. From here click the green button “Edit Profile” and then make any necessary changes. Just be sure to click “Save Settings” once changes have been made.

How much does it cost for sellers to place listings?

How do I place a listing?

Please follow these steps to place a listing on SaleRing.net:

  1. Log In
  2. Select "Sell" which is a green button at the top right of your screen
  3. Under “Choose a Category”, first select “Horses & Shares”, then you will be prompted to either choose “Thoroughbred”, “Quarter Horses”, or “Standardbred”. From there, you will choose the specific category such as “Stallion” or “Broodmare”, etc.
  4. Fill in the details for “Price & Duration”. Price can be left blank and “Make Offer” or “Contact Seller” may be chosen instead. The only option for “Duration” is 30 days but there is no additional cost to renew.
  5. Main Details, etc. The headline is what you use to grab someone’s attention. The description is where you really talk the horse up to entice potential buyers. Then fill in the remaining fields such as price, location, horse name, etc.
  6. Upload your photo(s), and attach YouTube or Vimeo videos if applicable
  7. Decide if you would like to upgrade your listing.
  8. Select “Next Step”. You will enter your payment information and once that has been accepted, your listing is live.

Once you have completed those steps, SaleRing will be alerted that a listing has been placed. Once alerted, we will attach the pedigree for the horse. Depending on the time of day the listing is created, you may see the pedigree attached within several minutes or within 24 hours.

How do I attach a video to my listing?

In order to include a video to your listing, the video must on YouTube or Vimeo. You can obtain the link or ID to your video from the applicable source. Once you have the video link or ID, just copy and paste it to the attach video screen when creating or editing a listing.

What do I do if I am unable to attach my photos or videos?

If you have any issues at all uploading your photos, files or videos to your listing, please email them to [email protected] and we will get them added to your listing on your behalf. Please be sure to clarify the name of the horse along with the photo(s). You are welcome to email the photo(s) at any time but SaleRing will add them to the site during business hours which are Monday through Friday 9am EST to 5pm EST, excluding holidays.

Edit a listing:

  1. Log In.
  2. Click “Account” in the top right corner.
  3. Select “Active Listings” along the left-hand column. Choose the listing you would like to edit.
  4. Select “Edit Listing”.
  5. Follow the prompts from there. Be sure to select “Finished Editing” upon completion.

Marking a listing as sold:

  1. Log In.
  2. Click “Account” in the top right corner.
  3. Select “Active Listings” along the left-hand column. Choose the listing you would like to mark as sold.
  4. Select the box “Available” and that will change to “Sold”.

Renewing a Listing:

  1. Log In.
  2. Click “Account” in the top right corner.
  3. Select “Active Listings” along the left-hand column. Choose the listing you would like to renew.
  4. Select the “Renew Listing” box.
  5. Select any upgrades. Please note, upgrades are not free when renewing.
  6. Select “Next Step” and “Checkout”.

Your listing has been renewed and you are done. Just don't forget to Logout.

Is this site secure?

Yes. Your transactions are protected by the latest encryption technology.

How do I find what I'm looking for?

You have several options:

  • We offer a quick search form on the front page for you to quickly enter keywords to begin your search.
  • We offer browsing filters when you are browsing to help you refine the results and find relevant listings to what you are looking for.

How do I sort by state or region?

While browsing results, you can change your region under in the filter selection box. Select the region you would like to sort by, and submit your chosen region filter. You can also access this from the top right of the page.

Please be reminded, that after you have selected a region, such as a state, you will only see listing results that are located in that state. To return to seeing all listings, or listings located in a different region, you must clear the chosen region filter, or apply a different one.

Can I save listings to revisit later?

Yes. You can maintain your own "watchlist" list within your account. Each listing on our site has an "add to watchlist" button. Simply click that button and we will add that listing to your watchlist. You can remove the listing by clicking the button again, or by visiting your watchlist in your account.

How do buyers and sellers communicate with each other?

We provide buyers with the ability to contact the seller through a form that is accessible on each of the seller's listing pages. The seller will then be notified by email of the buyer's questions and the seller can either reply by email or log in to their account and reply through our onsite messaging system. The seller can choose to keep their email address anonymous.
